Terms of Use

By using BuhurtTV (or, once available, creating an account), you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

BuhurtTV is a free platform for the Buhurt (medieval armored combat) community: public fighter profiles, event listings, a newsletter, and (as features ship) fight video and fighter stats. BuhurtTV is funded by sponsors, not by fees from fans. Some features are not available yet; where a feature is not live, the site says "coming soon" rather than showing made-up content. Watching video, once available, may require a free account.

• You must give accurate information when registering and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Account types (fan, fighter, club/team, organizer, sponsor) unlock different parts of the site; the admin role is granted only by BuhurtTV directly, never through public registration.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including fraudulent fighter claims or abuse of the platform (Section 6).
• Age: you must be 18 or older to create a BuhurtTV account, of any type (fan, fighter, club/team, organizer, sponsor). Browsing BuhurtTV — fighter profiles, events, stats — does not require an account and has no age restriction.

• Public fighter profiles show competition-related data (name, club, record and similar) because it describes public competition activity.
• Claiming a profile: a fighter may submit a claim with identifying information. BuhurtTV reviews claims and may approve, reject, or ask for more information. More than one person may submit a claim for the same profile; conflicting claims are resolved by admin review, not automatically.
• Submitting a claim you know to be false, or claiming a profile that is not yours, is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
• Correction or deletion: request a correction by emailing support@buhurttv.com. For deletion you can choose to keep your competition records or delete everything (the profile is then anonymized); see the Privacy Policy, Section 8a. Email requests work today; self-service options in account settings are coming.
• A fighter's photo, quote or personal story used in a post or feature requires your separate consent for that specific use — appearing in the base public profile does not imply consent to other uses.

You agree not to:

• Submit false information in a fighter claim, event submission, or club/organizer request.
• Impersonate another person or fighter.
• Scrape, bulk-download, or use automated tools against the site beyond normal browsing, except as separately agreed with BuhurtTV.
• Upload or submit unlawful, harassing, or infringing content.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, or rate limits.

Violating this section may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.

• When you submit content (fighter claim details, event submissions, flyers, club/organizer requests, messages), you confirm it is accurate and that you have the right to submit it.
• Event and flyer submissions (when the form opens): when you submit an event or a flyer, you confirm that you organize the event or have the organizer's permission, and that you own or have permission to share the flyer and any images in it. A link to these Terms is shown at the point of submission, and submitting means you accept them.
• You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant BUHURT TV LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce and adapt (for example resize or format) that content only to operate, display and promote BuhurtTV — for example showing an approved event on the site or featuring it in the newsletter or on BuhurtTV's social accounts. We credit the organizer or creator when we share it. This license ends when the content is removed from BuhurtTV, except for copies already shared in sent newsletters or published posts.
• Takedown: if you want submitted content removed, or believe something on BuhurtTV uses your content without permission, email support@buhurttv.com with the page link; we review and remove it promptly.
• Fighter photos, quotes and personal stories are not covered by this license: they need the separate consent described in Section 5.

• Subscribing to the BuhurtTV newsletter is opt-in and confirmed by a double opt-in email (Beehiiv). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter email.
• Creating an account does not subscribe you to the newsletter. Account-related email (sign-up confirmation, password reset, claim status updates) is sent as part of operating your account, separate from the newsletter.

BuhurtTV relies on third-party providers to operate, including a database & authentication provider, a hosting provider, a video hosting provider (once published), Beehiiv (newsletter), Resend (account email) and hCaptcha (bot protection). These providers have their own terms; BuhurtTV is not responsible for their availability or conduct beyond what applicable law requires.

• The BuhurtTV name, logo and site design belong to BUHURT TV LLC. You may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our written permission. Sharing links to BuhurtTV pages, and showing our name to refer to BuhurtTV, is fine.
• Video and media on the platform remain the property of their respective rights holders. BuhurtTV publishes only footage it owns or has permission to use from the rights holder (for example the event organizer or filmmaker). If you believe content on BuhurtTV infringes your rights, email support@buhurttv.com with the page link and the basis of your claim; we review and remove infringing content promptly.

BuhurtTV is provided "as is" and "as available" while features are actively being built. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that every planned feature is live, or that event, fighter or competition information supplied by organizers, clubs or fighters is complete or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, BUHURT TV LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of BuhurtTV. Our total liability for any claim related to BuhurtTV is limited to one hundred US dollars (US $100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

BuhurtTV shows information about a full-contact combat sport. Participating in Buhurt or any event listed on BuhurtTV is your own decision and is governed by the event organizer's own rules and waivers; BuhurtTV does not organize the events it lists.

BuhurtTV may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, including fraudulent claims (Section 5) or prohibited conduct (Section 6). You may stop using the service and request account/data deletion at any time by emailing support@buhurttv.com.

We may update these terms as the platform changes and will update the "last updated" date. For material changes, we will show a notice on the site (and email account holders once accounts exist) at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use BuhurtTV after that date means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

1. Informal resolution first. Before filing any claim, you agree to email support@buhurttv.com describing the dispute and try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days. We will do the same.
2. Courts. If the dispute is not resolved, it will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you and BUHURT TV LLC consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.

Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
